Leaders expect greater multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam, Saudi Arabia

Potentials for bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia are great, so the two sides should step up their ties in all fields, especially economics, trade, investment, and labor.

Hosting a welcome reception given to Saudi Arabia’s Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud and his spouse today in Hanoi, PM Nguyen Tan Dung stated that Vietnam always wants to join efforts with Saudi Arabia in developing the bilateral relationship in the interest of the two peoples.
Potentials for bilateral cooperation between Vietnam and Saudi Arabia are great, so the two sides should step up their ties in all fields, especially economics, trade, investment, and labor, said PM Dung. He also expected to see strategic cooperation between the two sides in petroleum.
Vietnam will create best conditions for enterprises from Saudi Arabia to do investment and business fruitfully here, pledged the host leader.
Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud said that his working visit to Vietnam aims at further pushing up the flourishing ties between the two countries because Saudi Arabia always places importance on the relations with Vietnam.
The guest committed to the realization of activities suggested by PM Dung while saying yes to the fact that the two sides should actively promote economic and trade links commensurate with their respective advantages.
Saudi Arabia wants to welcome a greater number of Vietnamese laborers and is ready to pour money in building hotels and tourism in Vietnam, said the Prince.

The same day, Deputy PM, FM Pham Gia Khiem also met with Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud.
Both the host and the guest agreed that the two countries can exploit their advantages to lift the bilateral relationship to new heights in the future.
Vietnam and Saudi Arabia established their diplomatic relationship in late 1999.
Vietnam mainly exports to Saudi Arabia textiles, garments, marine products, coal, tea, computers, footwear, timber, handicraft goods, and food.
The major imports coming from the Kingdom are plastic material, chemicals, automobiles, and steel.
