Friendship Organisations (CACPPFO), opened in Singapore on July 29.
The conference, themed “ASEAN-China Cooperation: Opportunities and Challenges” is drawing the participation of more than 300 government officials and businesspeople from ASEAN member countries and China, who will discuss opportunities to further boost cooperation in economics, culture, education, health and sports.
Hosted by the Singapore-China Friendship Association, the two-day conference aims to mark the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Singapore and China.
The main objective of the conference is to strengthen the strategic partnership and friendship between China and ASEAN nations through promoting exchanges and dialogue.
Addressing the opening ceremony, President of the China-ASEAN Association Gu Xiulian said that with joint efforts by all countries, the friendship cooperation mechanism between ASEAN and the Chinese people (10+1) becomes more perfect.
She affirmed that the relationship between ASEAN and China is gradually developing. China cannot prosper without ASEAN and the development of ASEAN also needs China, she said.
During the conference an exhibition themed, “Green Technologies and Diversified Cultures” will showcase technological products, computer software, and educational and cultural documents./.
